2022 OSU Summer Music Institute

Who Can Attend?
- The program is open to band/orchestral instruments, solo piano, and vocal students who have completed grades 8 through 12 of high school (including the summer before your freshman year of college).
- Instruments offered include:
- Woodwinds: Flute, Oboe, Saxophone (No Clarinet and Bassoon for 2022)
- Brass: Trumpet (No Horn, Trombone, and Tuba/Euphonium for 2022)
- Piano: Solo Piano
- Strings: No string program will be offered for 2022
- Voice: No voice program will be offered for 2022
What is Being Offered?
- NEW FOR 2022!!! The program will be designed as instrumental/vocal intensives, where you will have the opportunity to have more individualized time with the faculty and more specified classes designed for your applied area. This may include:
- Instrument specific masterclasses
- Area-specific studio classes and warm-up classes
- One-on-one private lessons
- Chamber Music
- Workshops designed for students from all participants
- NEW FOR 2022!!! All participants will receive a 30-minute lesson as part of the registration fee!!! (If you would like a 60-minute lesson, you can choose this option for an additional $35).
What Does it Cost?
2022 Costs are being finalized and will be posted shortly. Pricing options will be avaialble for commuting and campus housing.
NEW FOR 2022: PRIVATE LESSONS INCLUDED
For 2022, all registration fees will include one 30-minute private lesson with the OSU Summer Institute Faculty of your applied area. If you would like to have a 60-minute private lesson instead, this option can be added for an additional $35.
